Ingredients
  

  • 4 salmon fillets skin-on or skinless
  • 1 –2 teaspoons Cajun seasoning
  • Juice of 1–2 limes
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Avocado Salsa:
  • 1 avocado diced
  • 1 small tomato diced
  • 2 tablespoons red onion finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • Salt to taste
  • Optional: fresh cilantro

Instructions
 

  • Pat salmon dry and season with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  • In a bowl, mix avocado, tomato, red onion, lime juice, and salt to make salsa.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Place salmon in the pan (skin-side down if using skin).
  • Cook for 4–5 minutes until crispy.
  • Flip and cook for another 3–4 minutes until salmon is cooked through.
  • Squeeze fresh lime juice over the salmon.
  • Let rest for 2–3 minutes.
  • Top with avocado salsa and garnish with cilantro if desired.

Notes

  • Pat salmon dry for best sear.
  • Do not move fish too early to allow a crust to form.
  • Adjust Cajun seasoning to control spice level.
  • Store salmon and salsa separately for best freshness.
  • Consume within 2 days for best quality.
