  • 1 tsp Table Salt

Wet Ingredients

  • 1 cup Milk Can be substituted with non-dairy milk for a vegan option.
  • 2 large eggs, lightly beaten Can be replaced with flaxseed meal for a vegan option.
  • 2 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1/2 cup Salted Butter, melted and cooled Ensure butter is cooled before mixing.

Fruits

  • 1.5 cups peeled and chopped apple chunks Recommended apples include Honeycrisp or Granny Smith.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the oats, white sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. Stir until well mixed.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, vanilla extract, and melted butter.
  • Gradually add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients, stirring until everything is fully integrated.
  • Gently fold in the chopped apple chunks, distributing them evenly throughout the mixture.
  • Pour the entire mixture into a greased baking dish.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the top is golden and set.
  • Let your baked oatmeal cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For the best flavor, use firm apples like Honeycrisp or Granny Smith. Feel free to add other spices like nutmeg or allspice for extra warmth. This recipe is very versatile and can be made vegan or gluten-free.
