Ingredients

  • Main Ingredients
  • 1 ripe avocado peeled and pitted
  • ¾ –1 cup full-fat canned coconut milk well shaken
  • 1 ripe banana fresh or frozen
  • Flavor Base
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 –2 tsp lime or lemon juice optional, for brightness
  • Pantry & Optional Add-Ins
  • 1 –2 tsp honey or maple syrup optional
  • Ice cubes optional, for thicker texture
  • Handful of spinach optional, for added nutrients

Instructions

  • Prep
  • Scoop avocado flesh into the blender.
  • If you want a thicker, colder smoothie, freeze the banana in advance.
  • Shake coconut milk well before measuring.
  • Blending Method
  • Add coconut milk to the blender first.
  • Add avocado, banana, vanilla, citrus juice (if using), and sweetener if desired.
  • Blend on high for 30–60 seconds until completely smooth and silky.
  • Scrape down sides if needed and blend again briefly.
  • Texture Check
  • Smoothie should be thick and pourable.
  • Too thick? Add a splash of coconut milk or water.
  • Too thin? Add more avocado or a few ice cubes.
  • Finish
  • Pour into a glass and enjoy immediately. Optional garnish: shredded coconut or a lime wedge.

Notes

  • Use ripe avocado for the best flavor and creaminess.
  • Full-fat coconut milk gives the richest texture.
  • Blend long enough—avocado needs time to become silky smooth.
