This strawberry spinach salad is fresh, vibrant, and perfectly balanced with sweet strawberries, tender spinach, and a tangy balsamic dressing. Quick to make and endlessly customizable, it’s a crowd-pleasing salad that works as a light main dish or an elegant side.

Ingredients
  

  • Main Ingredients
  • 6 cups fresh baby spinach washed and dried
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries hulled and sliced
  • ¼ small red onion thinly sliced
  • Dressing
  • 3 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • tbsp honey or maple syrup
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp freshly ground black pepper
  • ¼ cup extra-virgin olive oil
  • Optional Toppings
  • ¼ cup sliced almonds pecans, or sunflower seeds
  • Feta cheese or goat cheese optional

Instructions
 

  • Prepare the Dressing
  • In a small bowl or jar, whisk together balsamic vinegar, honey, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper.
  • Slowly whisk in olive oil until fully emulsified.
  • Assemble the Salad
  • In a large bowl, add spinach, strawberries, and red onion.
  • Dress & Toss
  • Drizzle dressing over the salad just before serving.
  • Toss gently to coat.
  • Finish & Serve
  • Top with nuts, seeds, and optional cheese. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Dry spinach thoroughly to prevent sogginess.
  • Dress the salad right before serving for best texture.
  • Use ripe, in-season strawberries for the best flavor.
